Three young people allegedly hacked the car-sharing account of a 23-year-old user late on Wednesday afternoon and then drove a Tesla through Vienna. Police stopped the vehicle in Simmering, but the driver managed to escape. The two passengers, aged 15 and 17, were temporarily arrested.
Tesla found quickly
Police are now looking for the fleeing driver. The account owner alerted police when he noticed his account was being used to rent a car. The investigation is being conducted by the Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department, South Division, and the young people are still being interrogated.
