In Kaltenleutmachen near Vienna, a quartet gained entry to the apartment of a 41-year-old and beat the man and threatened to kill him. The victim was seriously injured on Friday, police said. The four suspects between the ages of 24 and 48 were investigated. They have partially confessed.
The quartet visited the 41-year-old in the morning hours of May 21. The front door was broken open and objects from the apartment – an armchair and a drinking glass – were attacked on the man lying in bed. The fact should have been preceded by a dispute, it said on the part of the state police of Lower Austria. A neighbor became aware of the incident due to noise pollution and alerted the police. The victim was admitted to the Baden State Clinic.
Already after two hours the first search success
About two hours after the crime, a 32-year-old was arrested by detectives. He must have known the victim. By order of the public prosecutor in Wiener Neustadt, the suspect was arrested on suspicion of serious physical injury, dangerous threats and trespassing. A provisional firearms ban and an approach ban were also issued. During the interrogation, the 32-year-old confessed. He was taken to the prison of Wiener Neustadt.
