From Australia to Austria: filmmaker Peter Crane traveled halfway around the world to finally settle in Vorarlberg. “Krone” author Robert Schneider recently visited him in Hohenems as part of his series “Foreign at Home?”
His father was a real adventurer, says 33-year-old documentary maker and passionate climber Peter Crane, who was born in Brisbane in northeastern Australia and has now lived in Vorarlberg for a number of years. “Dad was a sailor, picked up the newly built sailing yachts from the relevant shipyards and delivered them by sea to the relevant customers. He did very wild, adventurous things.”
I meet a young man who beams with happiness and who still can’t believe that four months ago he became the father of a son. “Sleep becomes shorter, life changes completely, but what such a being gives me every day is simply indescribably beautiful.”
