Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Switzerland for a working visit. The head of state announced talks with parliamentary representatives and Swiss President Viola Amherd via Telegram on Monday. He wrote that he wanted to thank Switzerland for its support to Ukraine.
Zelensky was received by Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis. “Welcome to Switzerland, Mr. President,” Cassis wrote on the X news service (formerly Twitter) and published a photo of the meeting.
Selenskyj visits the World Economic Forum
Zelensky also announced his participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos. Bilateral meetings will take place with representatives of the EU, NATO and major companies. Zelenskyj will also appear at the forum on Tuesday.
Ukraine has been defending a Russian invasion with Western support for more than 22 months. Kiev is currently fighting for new aid from the US and the European Union.
