He wanted to be particularly clever and deceive the police. An 18-year-old had to take a – voluntary – urine test because it was suspected that he had been driving under the influence of drugs. But his deception was discovered.
On Tuesday around 2:40 p.m., police officers in Schalchen stopped the 18-year-old resident, who was driving a car, for a traffic stop. The officers then quickly noticed symptoms of drug-related impairment.
18 year old was warned
Before the urine test, the boy was very emphatically informed that the test was voluntary, but that if he cheated it would be falsification of evidence. The 18-year-old was convinced, but still falsified the urine test. He got toilet water for the test and then showed it to the officer.
Second test positive
But she was not fooled and asked the 18-year-old to undergo a clinical examination. The man then relented and agreed to another voluntary urine test, which, unsurprisingly, came back positive for THC.
The driver’s license is gone
His driver’s license was temporarily confiscated and he was prohibited from driving any further. The 18-year-old will be reported to the Ried public prosecutor’s office and the Braunau district council.
