In Leoben (Styria), a motorist ended up on the central reservation of the Annaberg intersection on Wednesday night and crashed head-on into a light pole. The driver had to be taken to hospital.
The collision knocked out street lights and seriously damaged the driver’s car from Upper Styria. The volunteer fire brigades Leoben-Stadt and Leoben-Göss secured the accident site, set up fire protection and illuminated the accident site.
Roadway cleaned
They then assisted the towing company in removing the wreckage, tied down the equipment and cleared the roads. Employees of an electricity company also secured the light pole.
