South Korean electronics giant Samsung, which has just lost the market leadership in smartphones to Apple, is launching a new flagship: the Galaxy S24, which is available in three versions with different prices. While little has changed in terms of hardware, Samsung has fundamentally overhauled the operating system, upgrading it with artificial intelligence (AI) and a seven-year update promise. We have subjected Samsung’s software to an initial intelligence test.
Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra costs 1,450 euros – and is in any case no more expensive than the previous generation. With such a high price, it’s not surprising that Samsung installs top-of-the-line hardware. The large, bright OLED display with excellent display quality should also not be mentioned, as well as the 200 megapixel quad camera – in the short test the new product delivered excellent results in terms of image quality and photography. But the last generation already did that and that is why we focus mainly on the AI functions this time. Not all of them appear fully developed.
