An unknown person committed a cruel act in Tschagguns (Vorarlberg) on Monday: he shot a bullet into the body of a cat. The police are investigating.
Last Monday, a terrible case of animal abuse took place in Montafon: a woman noticed in the evening that her cat was apparently injured. The forelimb in particular seemed affected. On Tuesday morning, the woman took her cat to the vet.
Then came the shock diagnosis: the animal had been shot in the shoulder area. Unfortunately, the wound was no longer operable at that point. As a result, the cat’s front paw had to be removed.
Looking for witnesses
It is currently unknown who is responsible for the brutal act. The cowardly attack probably took place in the afternoon or evening hours of last Monday. Anyone who can provide information about the incident or who has observed anything suspicious is asked to contact Schruns police station (+43 (0) 59 133 8107).
