After a heavy weather warning, the frequency festival was interrupted on the opening day. Organizer Harry Jenner came on stage during the rapper’s performance and announced the decision, in the meantime black clouds were already in the air. Tropical temperatures had previously prevailed during the event.
“Please take it seriously,” Jenner said on the Space Stage. He advised to secure tents, visitors are the safest in their car. The core area was erased. The festival app previously warned of “strong thunderstorms and hail”.
Shortly before the official start of the festival on Thursday, the sunshine and high summer temperatures were planned. The influx of music fans to the site was great. On the “Prequency” on Wednesday there were already more than 100 missions for the paramedics: mainly because of smaller (cut) injuries.
