The Rover “Curiosity”, which has been on the Red Planet for more than twelve years, recently donated rather spectacular photos of clear clouds on Mars on earth (see video above).
A video of the robbers shows pink and greenish colored clouds that move in the twilight. These dazzling “Pearl Mutse” clouds are caused by the scattering of the sunlight in the thin Marsmosphere. According to NASA, these only arise in the early fall in the southern hemisphere of the red planet.
Clouds are only visible in the evening
Sometimes these clouds even form a rainbow of colors and create dazzling or “pearl -like” clouds. They are too weak to be seen in daylight, and only visible when the clouds are particularly high and it has become evening, according to the American Chamber that drives NASA on their website.
The clouds of Mars consist of water ice or at greater heights and at lower temperatures made of carbon dioxide ice cream (the atmosphere of the Mars consists of more than 95 percent of carbon dioxide, nut). On the bottom of the Rover recordings you can also see waterij clouds, which move about 50 kilometers over “curiosity” in the opposite direction.
On Mars since 2012
“Curiosity” ended up on Mars in August 2012 and is looking for traces of the previous life. With almost 900 kilograms and three by 2.7 meters, he was the largest self -driven research robot that was sent to the red planet to the robbers “perseverance” landing.
