Three fire brigades were warned on Sunday about a carbon monoxide accident in a single-family home in Neuberg an der Mürz (Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district). The poison gas escaped into the cellar; according to the first information, the homeowner had previously tampered with the heating, a solid fuel boiler.

Such incidents, especially in connection with heating systems, happen again and again. Just two weeks ago, a family in Leoben was found unconscious in their apartment after a carbon monoxide accident.
