Viennese anger leader convicted for climate stickers: reversal in court

A stressed transporter lost his nerve on the Vienna Belt a year ago. When activists from Last Generation Austria started their protest, he roughly dragged one of the demonstrators off the street. He was therefore sentenced to three months in prison for coercion and disrupting a meeting. The “Krone” report on the trial caused a stir. And now led to a turning point.

Three and a half thousand responses can be found under the ‘Krone’ article about the trial in June 2023. Most readers have little understanding of the 40-year-old’s criminal conviction. Although a video documents the aggressive outburst of anger, they cannot understand the suspended prison sentence. The video of the freak-out for which Mr. B. had to respond was viewed 700,000 times on Twitter (see below).
