On Tuesday morning, a 50-year-old was caught red-handed when he broke into a place of worship in Vienna-Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus. However, this was not the first time the suspect broke in, but the third time.
Members of the Islamic house of worship heard noises coming from a back room around 8:30 am and found the unknown man there. The Viennese was arrested by alerted police officers.
Safes have been broken open
Police say he may have lost his identification cards during the first burglary in November, which is why he looked for them and reentered the building. However, he also broke into lockers and stole money. This was also the case with the second burglary in December.
Burglary tools secured
When questioned, he stated that he thought it was a company. The suspect was taken to a prison on the orders of the Vienna Public Prosecutor’s Office. The burglary tools were also seized.
