One day after the murder of a student (18) at a secondary school in Sankt Leon-Rot, more details are known. The victim had already reported the suspect to the suspect in November 2023 for physical violence. No other criminal charges have been filed against him, police said.
The student (18) reportedly attacked his classmate around 10:20 am on Thursday and – according to the latest findings – fatally injured him with a knife (see video above). He then fled in a car. According to information from “Bild”, twelve to fourteen patrol cars chased the student, and a police helicopter was also in action.

Injured in a traffic accident
After just over two and a half hours, the 18-year-old was arrested at the entrance to a small shopping center in Seesen (Lower Saxony). “The arrest was preceded by a traffic accident in which the suspect was involved around 1:15 p.m. The suspect was injured,” Mannheim police said Thursday afternoon. As “Bild” reported, the 18-year-old rammed another car and drove through the city at a speed of about 160 kilometers per hour.
Arrest warrant requested
The Public Prosecution Service applied for an arrest warrant against the suspect at the court in Heidelberg on Friday. The investigation into the crime and its background, which also involves the Heidelberg police, is still ongoing.
The suspect is said to have posed no danger to third parties at the school. The students of the “Löwenrot” secondary school in Baden-Württemberg were taken from the building on Thursday and cared for at a collection point.
