On Friday morning, lightning caused a pile-up involving nine cars on the S6.
On Friday morning, the Krieglach fire brigade was alerted by a siren to a traffic accident involving several cars on the S6 (towards Klagenfurt) at the Kindberg Ost exit.
When the emergency management team arrived at the scene of the accident, they saw an unusual sight. A short quote from the operations manager: “The road looked like an ice rink, the comrades could only slide down the slope!”
The lightning ice ultimately caused the pile-up involving a total of nine vehicles. Two cars ended up in the adjacent ditch, the remaining vehicles collided on the road.
Fortunately, no one was injured in this accident, only damage was caused to the bodywork.
