There was a lot of noise on the Walgau highway near Bludenz on Saturday afternoon. Three vehicles were involved in a rear-end collision, two of which subsequently burned out completely. One person was slightly injured.
Police have not yet released any details about what happened in the accident. It is certain that three vehicles collided with each other in a rear-end collision around 12.30 pm. A vehicle involved in an accident subsequently caught fire. Within minutes, the flames spread to a second accident vehicle. When the fire brigade arrived on the scene, the two cars were already on fire – they are now a coffin for the scrap heap.
According to initial information, one person suffered minor injuries in the crash, but all others involved in the accident were unharmed. Due to the fire-fighting and cleaning work, the highway towards Tyrol had to be closed for more than an hour and a half – the backlog was therefore considerable.
