Right-wing extremists brought a scene author to give a lecture at the “Castell Aurora” in Steyregg. The police operations manager is said to have obstructed journalists, a former detective now makes accusations in an interview with the ‘Krone’.
Criticism of the police’s actions in the ‘siege’ of the right-wing extremist ‘Castell Aurora’ by the German media is now being criticized by someone who should know – namely a former criminal from Linz. Uwe Sailer was on the scene when German identity guru Götz Kubitschek made his appearance on Wednesday: “The head of operations of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution played a questionable role on the ground. He described Götz Kubitschek as an innocent author whose books are not banned. This gentleman from the Office for the Protection of the Constitution did not want to ignore the fact that ‘Castell Aurora’ as such was a fortress of the Identitarians. From his point of view, it’s an innocent cultural association. He went on to say that the Greens are proving to be terrible warmongers.”
Here’s how state police are responding
The officer also tried to subtly hinder the photographers and camera crews. The Directorate of State Police stated: “The police must fulfill their statutory duties. In this particular case, it involved observing the scene and taking immediate action if crimes had occurred. The ideological differences and opinions of individuals are fundamentally irrelevant to the constitutional implementation of the legal system.”
