Three US soldiers have been killed and at least 25 others injured in a drone strike in Jordan

The White House said in a statement that the attack was carried out by radical military groups backed by Syria and Iraq and that they would have a proportionate response. Jordan has assured that the action took place outside its borders.

The President of the United States, Joe Bidenannounced this on Sunday three American soldiers were killed in a drone attack in the northeast of Jordannear the border with Syria.

“While we are still gathering the facts about this attack, we know it was carried out by radical, Iranian-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq,” the president explained in a statement.

As a result of the attack, which took place at night, so were they at least 25 other people injured who, according to the US Army Central Command, were stationed at a US base in the area.

As a US government official told CNN, the drone was apparently a drone sent from Syria and it was a one way trip. The attack marks the first time that members of the US military have been killed since the conflict in the Gaza Strip broke out on October 7, and worsens an already fragile situation in the Middle East.

Biden has said the United States will “hold all those responsible accountable at a time and in a manner of our choosing.”

He Jordanian government clarified that the attack took place outside the borders.

For their part, the republican senators Lindsey Graham and John Cornyn have advocated “Attack Tehran“, Iranian capital has given in response to the attack.
