Tragic accident on the Schneeberg in Lower Austria: a 14-year-old from Vienna crashed into the high Alpine site and could only be restored to death. He would have been in the Kaisersteig area without equipment.
The 14-year-old Viennese was reported on Thursday from accommodation in Puchberg am Schneeberg. Member of Mountain Rescue, Alpine and Flight Police immediately went looking for the young person- unfortunately with a sad result.
In the late morning the body of the 14-year-old was discovered in the steep terrain in the area of the so-called Kaisersteg. All help came too late for the boys.
According to the investigation, the 14-year-old had gone without equipment on the High Alpine site and she had crashed for an unknown matter. Foreign error can be excluded.
