A 19-year-old went on a dangerous odyssey with friends in Carinthia’s Gurktal – police found him sleeping in the car. Alcohol contributed to the boy causing traffic accidents with property damage and collisions.
Shortly before 4 a.m. on Saturday, a 19-year-old was driving with friends in the car from Feldkirchen towards Gurktal. “It damaged several road marking posts spanning a length of nearly 14 kilometers,” a police officer said.
An employee of the road maintenance department filed a report, the police took action and found the driver sleeping in the car on Wimitzer Straße in the municipality of Gurk!
An alcohol test on the 19-year-old from the St. Veit district was positive. He didn’t even have a driver’s license!
He is charged with traffic accidents involving property damage, hit and run and driving under the influence. His passengers are also reported: they behaved extremely aggressively.
