Four winter sports enthusiasts, including a teenager, were injured on Monday in three skiing accidents in the Tyrolean districts of Kitzbühel, Schwaz and Imst. The emergency medical helicopter had to rescue three people.
The first skiing accident occurred on Monday around 9:50 am in St. Jakob in Haus (Kitzbühel district). A 49-year-old local woman was skiing on a ski trail in the Pillersee ski area when she fell and slipped about 150 meters down the ski slope. In a slight left turn she then left the path and fell approximately 15 meters into a ditch, where she was seriously injured. After initial care from the snow rescue team, the helicopter flew her to the hospital in St. Johann in Tirol.

Similar scenes took place about an hour later in Tux in the Zillertal. A French woman (58) went over the edge of the slope in a bend and fell about ten meters into a wooded area. The winter sports enthusiast was injured and also had to be flown to hospital by emergency helicopter.

In the late morning an accident took place in Kühtai (Imst district). There, a 14-year-old German and a 64-year-old Swiss collided at a piste intersection. Both were injured in the accident. They were taken to Zams district hospital by emergency medical helicopter or ambulance.
