The emergency medical helicopter had to respond to an accident involving two men and a six-year-old girl near Zwettl (Lower Austria) on Monday afternoon. The collision with a tractor left a total of two injured.
The driver (59), whose six-year-old daughter was in the passenger seat, had certainly imagined it differently. As he entered an intersection with another freight road coming from the right, the tractor – driven by a 51-year-old – rammed him on the left side near the driver’s door.
Daughter and father in hospital
The collision caused the car to be thrown into the right field and came to a stop. The 59-year-old and the girl suffered injuries of an unknown nature. The driver of the vehicle was flown to hospital in Horn by emergency helicopter, and the daughter was taken by ambulance to Zwettl State Hospital. The 51-year-old tractor driver was uninjured.
There was material damage to the tractor and the car was also significantly damaged. The vehicles were pulled over by relatives and the owner of the field was informed. The accident happened exactly at the intersection between Waldhams-Guttenbrunn and Schickenhof-Jahrings.
