On Wednesday morning, a 52-year-old cyclist was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Frastanz (Vorarlberg). A truck driver (35) overlooked the woman.
The 35-year-old truck driver had previously driven into a parking lot because he wanted to make a U-turn. When he turned onto Feldkircher Straße (L 190), he overlooked the cyclist who was on a combined pedestrian and cycle path. As a result of the collision, the woman’s head was thrown against the windshield and then onto the asphalt, where she remained unconscious.

Although she was wearing a protective helmet, she suffered serious head injuries. After initial treatment at the scene, the 52-year-old was taken to Feldkirch State Hospital. Her condition is critical. An expert must now reconstruct the accident in detail.
