A tragic incident took place in Bödele (Vorarlberg). A man who was last snowboarding near Bödele has been missing for weeks. Now he was found, but all help came too late for him.
According to police, a 44-year-old German living in Dornbirn was found dead on Bödele (Schwarzenberg). The 44-year-old was apparently snowboarding in Bödele on January 20. When he didn’t show up for an appointment a few days later, he was reported missing. There was no indication of his whereabouts at the time.
Finally, on February 6, the Bödele parking operator noticed the man’s vehicle. Search teams consisting of the Alpine Police and the police service dog unit then extensively searched the area. Hotel operators and holiday home owners were also questioned. However, so far without success.
Hypothermia
During a new search two days later, the German’s body was found under Bödelestrasse in a pathless area. Apparently the man wandered into this area and died of hypothermia.
