A 14-year-old from Ohlsdorf was threatened with a knife for wearing a fancy hat at a folk festival in Vöcklabruck, Upper Austria. The perpetrators were quickly caught.
The serious robbery with a knife took place on Friday around 4.45 pm in the Vöcklabruck city park. At the folk festival there, a 17-year-old from Regau was out with his 16-year-old friend from Timelkam.
The perpetrator had a gun ban
Near the skate park, the two discovered a group of young people, and a 14-year-old from the Gmunden neighborhood caught their attention. The reason: They especially loved his hat. The 17-year-old therefore asked his friend to hand over one of his two knives, which he was carrying despite a gun ban.
After being handed a knife – the 17-year-old was also officially banned from using weapons – he went to the 14-year-old, held the knife to his stomach and asked him to give him his hat. He, in turn, gave the suspect his hat and ran off with his friends.

They called the police and during the search they found the two suspects, who were also clearly identified by the 14-year-old and his friends. Both the 17-year-old and the 16-year-old were arrested by order of the public prosecutor of Wels and transferred to the prison of Wels. Fortunately no one was injured.
