A car was destroyed by flames on the southern highway near Laxenburg (Lower Austria) on Saturday morning. The three occupants were able to get out of the car in time before it completely burned out.
When the fire brigade arrived, at least a light all-clear was given. There were no more people in the vehicle and they were able to get to safety in time.
However, when the fire brigade arrived, the car on the way to Vienna was already completely on fire. Using respiratory protection, the fire was quickly extinguished and prevented from spreading to the noise barrier.
A total of 49 comrades were on duty for about an hour and a half. The completely burned wreckage was removed from the highway and parked safely. Asfinag then cleared the road.
