Two boys involved in a fight in the Innviertel apparently have bad role models. It was about money and one of the opponents came armed to collect the debt. And he also had a larger arsenal at home, which the police eventually cleared out.
On Sunday evening the duo met in the municipality of Brunnenthal near Schärding and the argument about debts broke out.
To reinforce his demands, an 18-year-old from Innviertel produced a gun that he had hidden under his sweater. He flexed the cock and practiced target practice for his 16-year-old opponent. He also threatened the young German that he would shoot him.
As if that wasn’t enough, the older man also showed off a machete he had strapped to his waistband.
Guns and ammo in the house
But then the Innviertel man suddenly turned and ran away. He hid his weapons in a small forest, but police officers, alerted by the 16-year-old, found them – the gun turned out to be an empty weapon – and also dug up a large cache of weapons belonging to the suspect: he had five guns and ammunition in the house! The 18-year-old will be reported to the public prosecutor’s office in Ried im Innkreis and to the Schärding district administration. He was also given a temporary weapons ban.
