Fire alarm in Frauenkirchen in Burgenland: Flames in a residential building left a trail of destruction. The cause of the fire is still unclear. No one was injured.
Around 2 p.m. on Saturday, the Frauenkirchen fire brigade was told that a fire was raging in a residential building. When the emergency services arrived, columns of dark smoke that were meters high could already be seen. The fire brigade immediately checked whether there were still residents in the building; Fortunately, mother and daughter were able to get to safety in time.
Four fire brigades extinguished the house fire
The alarm level was raised and the fire brigades of Mönchhof, Halbturn and Wallern rushed to help. The comrades launched a firefighting attack using heavy breathing protection. After the fire was under control, the roof structure was searched for embers with a thermal imaging camera and everything was soon cleared. The fire was completely extinguished at 3:33 p.m.
There was extensive damage throughout the house. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
