This type of guest exit doesn’t happen every day. In any case, defective lighters caused a company in Stans in the Unterinntal (Tyrol) to be evacuated.
On Thursday around 1:30 p.m., two students were in the company repacking several pallets of lighters for return transport. After some time, the two locals complained of dizziness and nausea. The suspected cause: apparently gas had leaked from some lighters.
No elevated values
The students raised the alarm and the company building was evacuated. The alerted rescuers treated the 17-year-olds on site. Various fire brigades in the area subsequently took measurements, but did not find any increased values. The Florianis gave the starting signal around 1:50 PM.
The pallets in question have been brought outside and neatly disposed of. The two students came to the clinic in Innsbruck for further medical examination. The Stans, Schwaz and Jenbach fire brigades, the Red Cross and the Schwaz police were present.
