Shocking moment for three drivers in Vordertißenegg in the Lavanttal. Their vehicles were struck by sliding rocks on Packer Street on Saturday evening.
The three vehicles were driving north on Packer Straße (B 70) in Vordertißenegg, municipality of St. Gertraud, around 6 p.m. when individual boulders suddenly fell from a slope onto the road and hit the cars. Material damage occurred to all cars. Fortunately, the occupants of the vehicle were not injured and escaped in horror.
Road closed for half an hour
The fire brigades of Theißenegg and Frantschach-St. were present to collect spills and remove boulders from the road. Gertraud with a total of 23 men and women and four vehicles in action. Packer Strasse (B 70) was closed to all traffic in the area of the accident from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
