Drug investigators made a gruesome discovery in an apartment in Vienna-Ottakring. A man was brutally murdered and officials are said to have found a veritable battlefield.
It was actually an everyday operation for the drug investigators of the Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department. After all, there were indications of illegal trade and a search warrant, so the house was searched. But what the officers found on Wednesday at 2.45 pm in the apartment on the border between Ottakring and Hernals was not just green grass, but a real battlefield.
The body of a man was in the shower tray in the adjacent room of the cannabis plantation. Next to him was a kind of torture chair, which would indicate a bloody slaughter.
Execution in the style of the Balkan mafia
Several parts of the victim’s body were reportedly cut off, including her fingers. “This clearly points to a Balkan mafia-style execution,” says an experienced investigator.
The identity of the dead man was not yet clear, nor was the background why the man had to die in the drug bunker in the first place. An autopsy was ordered.
The “Krone” was there the next day and asked around the old apartment building on Sautergasse. “I have lived in this house for fifteen years, but lately strange characters have been appearing more and more often. They are the kind of people you would rather not meet,” says a shocked resident.
Slobodan R., another neighbor, says: “Suddenly there was a huge noise in the stairwell, many men came and threw everything out of the apartment.”
All he knows is that a Pole with a woman once lived here. It has been coming and going in the house for a while now. You hardly know each other. Not even the dismembered dead man next door.
