A wild fight broke out between holidaymakers from Denmark and Germany during après-ski in a bar in Schladming (Styria) on Monday evening. The Danes are said to have kicked an opponent lying on the ground in the head with ski boots. A 25-year-old is in custody, three Germans are in hospital with serious injuries.
Shortly before 8 p.m., a verbal altercation took place outside a bar in the Styrian ski metropolis, but it quickly degenerated into violence. A 25-year-old Dane is said to have delivered a number of huge punches to the head of a 36-year-old German.
Kick to the head
But apparently that wasn’t enough for the criminal; he also kicked the victim’s head while he lay on the ground with his ski boot. A 28-year-old farmer is also said to have kicked the already seriously injured German when he passed by.
Three German ski holidaymakers in hospital
Without caring about the 36-year-old, the two Danes left the location. The seriously injured man was taken to hospital in Schladming, as well as a 24-year-old German and a 37-year-old fellow countryman who suffered minor injuries.
Daan is in custody
After a search, the 25-year-old suspect was arrested. He was taken to Leoben prison. The 28-year-old and a 25-year-old Dane are said to be at large.
