Drama in Mallorca: a four-year-old child climbed into a clothes dryer while playing hide and seek, closed the door and then suffocated in pain. The police on the holiday island announced this on Friday.
The accident took place on Thursday in the parents’ apartment in the popular holiday resort of Magaluf in the southwest of Spain’s Balearic Island, the “Mallorca Zeitung” and the “Mallorcamagazin” reported.
An aunt had to babysit the boy while the parents were at work. But she fell asleep. Later, she and her grandmother searched for the boy in vain for a long time until they finally discovered him in the dryer.
Salvation could only determine death
But he no longer had a pulse and paramedics could only determine that he was dead. The newspaper wrote that the boy had been scolded several times for climbing into the dryer. The family, from the local population, received psychological care.
