New findings – RAF terrorist Garweg lived in a caravan in Berlin

Date:

Wanted former RAF terrorist Burkhard Garweg lived in a caravan on a property in Berlin’s Friedrichshain district. A spokesperson for the Lower Saxony State Criminal Investigation Department announced this on Sunday. The caravan has been seized and is now being investigated.

130 emergency services searched the area in Friedrichshain (Berlin) for hours (see video above). Ten people have now been arrested to check their identities. Those affected would have offered no resistance. In addition, “the alleged housing of Burkhard Garweg could be identified with a high degree of probability,” the Lower Saxony State Criminal Investigation Department announced on Sunday. The caravan has been seized and is now being investigated.

“Tactical opening of doors”
According to police, during the operation there were “sounds of gunshots as part of the tactical opening of doors.” The business premises, which were searched from 7:30 am on Sunday, are located on the corner of Markgravendamm and Persiusstrasse. The search for the wanted former RAF members Garweg and Ernst-Volker Staub in and around Berlin has intensified considerably recently.

The background is the arrest on Monday of suspected RAF terrorist Daniela Klette (65), who is said to have lived unrecognizable in Berlin for years. The researchers suspect that the two men could also be in Berlin. Garweg and Staub are said to have committed armed robberies with burdock for more than thirty years to finance their underground lives.

The trio is assigned to the RAF. The Red Army Faction was a left-wing extremist group responsible for 33 assassinations of executives, the Stockholm hostage crisis (1975), and several explosive attacks that injured more than 200.
