A burglar was not having a good day in the Innviertel. First he was caught by a dog on Sunday, then he also bit his arm. The escape was successful and the crook tried his luck again with the neighbor. But there was also someone at home here.
The crook was at the property of an Innviertel man (31) in Gundertshausen on Sunday, March 3, 2024 around 2:20 p.m. and wanted to steal items from an open car. But he hadn’t counted on the owner’s dog; the hound snarled and bit the stranger on the forearm.
“I just want to buy something”
The dog’s barking and the burglar’s screams perked up the homeowner’s ears and he confronted the stranger. The man told him he was Romanian and wanted to buy something, then fled.
The injuries were probably not too bad, because a little later the same thief broke into a neighboring house. And again he was unlucky, was surprised by the homeowner’s 18-year-old daughter and was able to escape again on foot. An immediate search has so far turned up nothing.
Description of perpetrator
Now the police are hoping for witnesses who can lead them to the crook. They should contact the Eggelsberg police station on 059133 4205. According to his own statement, the wanted person is a Romanian, approximately 190 centimeters tall, has a dark complexion, was wearing a blue sweater, jeans and a black jacket when he committed a crime and probably has a bite wound on his forearm.
