On Monday evening, a man (68) in St. Marein near Wolfsberg was threatened and knocked down in the driveway of his building by two 19-year-old men and a 17-year-old. The three had to flee using a trick.
The three men suspected the 68-year-old of cannabis and wanted to rob him and also search an outbuilding on the property. They even threatened the St. Mareiner with a stabbing weapon and knocked him to the ground. The man then told the intruders that he had already called the police and that is why they fled.
Two perpetrators returned
However, around 5:30 am the two 19-year-olds returned and broke the window of the next building. One of the two had a gas pistol with him. The noise woke the 68-year-old and this time he actually called the police. The arriving officers from the Wolfsberg police station were finally able to catch and arrest an armed perpetrator.
19-year-old admitted to prison
Through extensive investigation, the other two suspects were eventually identified. The two older men were taken to Klagenfurt prison. The 17-year-old will be released after the investigation is completed. Officers from the Wolfsberg Police Station also conducted forensic examinations at the crime scene.
