That was probably a bad joke! An unknown female voice called 911 on Friday evening and warned of a bomb and weapons at the exhibition center in Klagenfurt.
According to police, the emergency call came from a telephone booth around 11:08 p.m. A woman warned about her ex-boyfriend and two other friends. She claimed the men were on their way to a music event at the exhibition center in Klagenfurt with weapons and a bomb.
The area was immediately evacuated
The event in exhibition hall 3 was immediately interrupted, the area was evacuated and searched by the police. But no weapons or a bomb were found. After the event, concertgoers were able to return to the exhibition hall and the event continued.
“Because the call came from a telephone booth, this cannot be determined. Further investigations are ongoing,” police said.
