Despite being stabbed, a 24-year-old met his girlfriend in Vienna-Favoriten on Friday. The 21-year-old immediately alerted the police. There is currently no trace of the attacker.
According to police, the knife attack took place in the middle of the day on Keplerplatz. An acquaintance allegedly stabbed the 24-year-old after an argument between the two escalated. The suspect then fled.
Investigations are underway
The young man was treated by emergency services and taken to a hospital. A search for the suspect initially turned up nothing.
A similar case in Brigittenau
A similar case occurred the same day in Brigittenau. A 28-year-old went to the trauma hospital with a stab wound in his stomach. According to the treating staff who informed the police, the patient’s life was in danger at that moment. However, after emergency surgery, the man was on the mend.
The injury was probably caused by a sharp object. The 28-year-old initially did not want to say how this happened. The National Criminal Investigation Department is investigating both cases.
