On Saturday evening there was a violent argument between a 40-year-old and his ex-girlfriend’s new partner in an apartment in Vienna-Simmering. The suspect had previously broken into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment through the balcony door.
Shortly afterwards, a wild argument broke out between him and his ex-girlfriend’s new partner. The children of the ex-couple were also present at the time.
Suspect arrested
When the situation fully escalated, the 36-year-old immediately alerted police. Officers temporarily arrested the 40-year-old on suspicion of serious trespassing. There was already a provisional injunction against the ex-partner.
The police issued an entry and approach ban, as well as a temporary weapons ban. The 40-year-old is also suspected of bodily harm.
Woman and children unharmed
The violent kicks against the balcony door left the 40-year-old slightly injured and had to undergo surgery. The 36-year-old and the two children were not injured.
