There was a lot of excitement outside a bar in the market town of Lustenau (Vorarlberg) on Sunday evening. Two men were seriously injured in a brutal fight. The perpetrators were identified.
On Sunday morning around three o’clock, ‘curfew’ was the order of the day for guests of a restaurant in Lustenau. But instead of peace returning, the unrest really began. Three men between the ages of 20 and 23 started insulting another guest in front of the restaurant.
The victim was already on the ground
First they pushed him around, then one of the brutalists knocked him down with a headbutt. Even as the victim was writhing in pain on the ground, they did not let him go but continued to punch and kick him.
Countless punches and kicks
Eventually another guest became aware of the argument and intervened. He had to pay bitterly for his courage: the trio also assaulted him with blows, so that he fell to the ground. While he was kneeling on the asphalt, he received a number of punches and kicks to the head.
Suspects have come forward
aThe three violent perpetrators then fled. The two victims had to be taken to Dornbirn hospital; they had suffered cuts, bruises and traumatic brain injuries, among other injuries. The perpetrators were quickly identified by the police – they were reported to the Feldkirch public prosecutor’s office.
