“Lead Foot Day” in the Gmunden district: If the police look closely, the state treasury will ring – on Tuesday, 288 speeders were caught within eight hours during targeted checks on the B145.

Priority checks were carried out on the B145 in the Gmunden district on Tuesday. To prevent accidents, the speed in the immediate vicinity of the checkpoint was reduced; the speed limit was controlled by the Upper Austrian State Transport Service.

66 violations
288 speeding offenses were registered between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. During the technical checks, 66 violations were noted due to technical defects or technical changes, with the license plate of one car having to be removed due to imminent danger.

The tractor-trailer showed eleven defects
A total of eleven technical defects were found on a tractor-trailer and the license plates of the towing vehicle and trailer had to be removed due to imminent danger. When checking the truck driver’s driving and rest times, another 25 violations were found.
