The interannual CPI for February fell to 3.1% in the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV) and 2.5% in Navarre, mainly due to the decline in the price of electricity and food.
According to data published on Thursday by the National Statistical Institute (INE), the interannual rate for February was four-tenths lower than the interannual rate recorded in January, both in the BAC (3.5%) and in Navarra ( 2.9%).
In monthly terms (from January to February) the consumer price index (CPI) increased by 0.6% in the BAC and by 0.4% in Navarra.
So far this yearprices in the BAG increased by 0.8%, while in Navarra they fell by 0.1%.
By territory, in Bizkaia the interannual CPI is 3.3% Gipuzkoa in 3.2% and in Arabia at 2.5%. Compared to last January, the CPI increased by 0.8% in Bizkaia, 0.5% in Araba and 0.4% in Gipuzkoa.
