In light of the visit of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, a small group of climate activists have expressed their dissatisfaction to the Federal Chancellery.
The last generation, including Anja Windl, demonstrated on Friday following the visit of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to the Chancellor. With banners and vests, the protest group sat down right in front of the Federal Chancellery so as not to leave the international meeting between Blinken, Chancellor Karl Nehammer and Foreign Minister Schallenberg unanswered.
“The US and Europe, as the main drivers of the climate crisis, must take responsibility. What is at stake here is nothing less than the future of our civilization.” The climate activists criticized both the US and Austria, saying they have “failed on climate policy.” According to the police, the protest is now over.
