A walk for a German (23) in Pettneu am Arlberg ended with serious injuries. The man lost his balance on steep terrain and fell about 70 meters. He and his colleague must have looked too deeply into the glass beforehand.
The incident happened just before 6 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. According to the police, the 23-year-old German had “drank a lot of beer” together with his compatriot (24) at a campsite there. They then went for a walk towards “Malfontal”.
Exit the forest path
At the entrance to the valley, the two of them first walked along a forest path to the east. When more and more snow covered the path and it became difficult for them to progress, they decided to immediately descend through the steep forest.
The 23-year-old suddenly lost his balance on the steep and wet ground and fell about 60 to 70 meters over rocky terrain. He fell over and came to rest next to a fallen tree.
