A white van rammed a police car in Vienna’s 20th district of Brigittenau on Wednesday evening. Five people were injured, including a pregnant woman (35). The vehicle ended up on its side, as can be seen in a photo.
According to information from Krone, the accident took place at the intersection of Jägerstraße/Pappenheimgasse. According to media reports, a white Volkswagen Tiguan crashed into the side of a police car. The van landed on top of a black Mercedes, which was at the red light across the road at the time of the accident.

Numerous emergency services on site
Within minutes, numerous emergency services from the Vienna Professional Rescue Service arrived on the scene. According to “Today”, five people were injured, including a pregnant woman (35), a small child (2), another woman and two men. After initial care, the child was returned to his family, but the pregnant woman had to be taken to a hospital.
Further information, such as the cause of the accident, was initially not available on Wednesday evening.
