Early on Wednesday something worrying happened near a school in Innsbruck. A previously unknown man molested several children. A knife was also involved. The search for the mysterious stranger is underway. The police are looking for witnesses.
The threatening incident took place around 7:30 am on Freundsbergstrasse in Innsbruck. Several children were on their way to school when some of them were approached by an unknown man. In one case, the stranger demanded money and a cell phone from the children. He brandished a knife in front of a boy.
The boy immediately called his mother
“In another case, the stranger asked a student to come along,” the police describe further details. The boy then called his mother on his cell phone. With this he chased the perpetrator away. The man disappeared towards Gutshofpark.
The 23-year-old was helping children and was followed
The stranger was put on the run for the second time that day. A young woman noticed what he was doing and came to help children. The man then chased the 23-year-old towards Reichenauerstrasse. Only when the young woman shouted energetically at her pursuer did he run away.
The police are investigating. The perpetrator is described as follows: He was approximately 20 years old, 170 to 175 centimeters tall, slim, had light hair and a very light complexion.
