A dramatic accident took place on a farm in the St. Veit an der Glan district of Carinthia on Thursday afternoon. An 11-year-old schoolgirl lost control of a tractor and crashed into a roof structure.
The student was busy hauling bales of silage when the tractor suddenly started rolling on a sloping pasture. The girl lost control of the wheel.
The heavy vehicle then broke through a garden gate and a hedge. Then the tractor and the student crashed into the roof of a residential building.
With a rescue helicopter to the hospital
The young schoolgirl suffered injuries in the accident and had to be flown to the accident hospital in Klagenfurt by rescue helicopter “C11” after receiving first aid from the emergency doctor.
A lot of damage was done to the tractor and the house.
