High-rise building fire – a trio called the occupants of the bed when there was a fire

Date:

A trio from Ranshofen sounded the alarm in time when a fire broke out at night in a high-rise building in Braunau. They called the fire brigade and called the sleeping residents out of their beds so they could get to safety.

“My sister suddenly shouted: ‘There is an apartment on fire.’ I immediately stopped and called 122. My wife and my sister have already rang the bell,” says Samuel Zaklama from Braunau-Ranshofen. The 29-year-old, his wife Silvana and sister Sherine (both 29) were the first to discover the fire in a high-rise building on Salzburger Strasse in Braunau at 3:43 a.m. on Sunday. “My sister and my wife were waiting for tables at the city festival and I picked them up. That’s why we were still on our way,” says Zaklama, who even ventured into the high-rise buildings and met the shocked residents there. “Many stood distraught in the doorway in their nightgowns.”

Thank you on social media
Thanks to the trio, many residents of the house were already outside when the fire brigade arrived. Thank you on social media on Sunday morning. The apartment on the 7th floor was on fire. A mobile smoke blocker was attached to the door of the fire apartment and two powerful fans were activated in the stairwell to keep the evacuation route smoke-free. A total of 70 people were rescued unharmed.

Five fire brigades, including one from Simbach (D), were deployed to extinguish the fire.
