After the bank robbery on Wednesday afternoon at a bank branch in Innsbruck, there is still no trace of the perpetrator. However, witnesses saw two other suspects around the bank. The investigation is progressing quickly.

As reported, the unknown man entered the bank on Wednesday around 3:39 p.m. There, according to the police, he went straight to one of the two employees who worked in the counter room. “The unknown perpetrator then grabbed the employee by the shoulder, held her down and demanded – in German with a foreign accent – ​​that she hand over cash,” police said.

The man then searched the drawers at the cash register. Unable to find cash, he again asked the two women to hand him money. At the same time, another employee entered the room having heard the noise. The perpetrator then fled without any loot.

As reported, the search was negative. Fortunately, no one was injured. “The psychosocial guidance of the employees was carried out by the KIT team,” the police said.

Witness saw suspects
A woolen hat was also found near the crime scene. A witness also contacted investigators. She saw two men near him. They were dressed in dark clothing and were about 170 centimeters tall. One of the two was wearing jeans and had red or orange hair and a beard of the same color. Whether there is a connection with the crime is currently being investigated.
