After the impact, the vehicle was thrown back onto the road. While emergency workers were able to help the twelve-year-old boy, who was traveling with him, out of the vehicle, the driver was trapped in the vehicle. Fire and rescue services freed the injured man.
After initial treatment with the emergency medical helicopter, both prisoners were flown to Krems University Hospital.
